About Us

Founded in September, 2003, The Lyric Chorale is a 40-voice community chorus of experienced singers dedicated to the art of choral and ensemble singing. 

Directed by Chrisanne Yule, The Lyric Chorale is artist-in-residence at St. Louis Church in Pittsford and attracts listeners of all ages from throughout the Greater Rochester area. 

The Lyric Chorale is committed to musical excellence and the highest performance standards that inspire, enlighten, and enrich their listeners.

The Lyric Chorale's repertoire includes classical and contemporary choral works, traditional folk songs, Broadway show tunes and more.  Concerts have featured works by G. F. Handel, J.S. Bach, Randall Thompson, R. Vaughan Williams, Morten Lauridsen, Bob Chilcott, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Stephen Sondheim and Stephen Foster.

The Lyric Chorale is a member of the Greater Rochester Choral Consortium.

Our Mission

  The Lyric Chorale is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is:

• To promote the art of choral and ensemble singing

• To commit to musical excellence with the highest performance standards  in order to
   inspire, enlighten, and enrich our listeners

• To attract listeners of all ages in and around the greater Rochester, New York area

• To function as Artist-in-Residence at St. Louis Church, Pittsford, New York
