As a Rochester native, Eric Hauck has been involved in the area’s music scene his entire life. During high school, Eric competed in various piano competitions in the Rochester area. At age 18, Hauck received the designation of Honorable Mention in the Hochstein Recital Comp. and the RPO Young Artist Comp. He also was a winner of the Howard Hanson Audition at the end of his senior year. Also at 18, Hauck made his concerto debut with the Greece Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. David Felter.
During college, Hauck had the privilege of studying organ as a student of Dr. Dianne Maynard, and piano under the direction of Brian Preston. As a student, Eric won the Rising Stars Concerto and Aria Competition, earning the opportunity to perform the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Nazareth College Symphony Orchestra.
Today, Hauck owns and runs a piano and vocal studio in Rochester as well as serves as the organist and choir director at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
